You have to keep it fun. Keep it loose. I think we have to remember that nothing is that big of a deal. It’s all just an experience. We do our work to express ourselves but we are not our work. We are not our book sales or our reviews. We are doing this for ourselves. We are doing this because we are storytellers and we have the genes of the same people who served the tribe by telling stories by the fire. What we do is sacred but yet it must remain fun. It is a job and we can talk pride in it, but our pride should never be Lucifer-like; it is humbling to know that we are doing to this to connect to our selves and connect to others. We are playing with imaginary friends so others can have a friend for a day, week, or month. We serve this solitude so we feel less alone in ourselves.
